OCT 7:
Term 4 commences, and training will focus on preparations for the GOTTA DANCE concert for under 13s to open age.

NOV 2:
show run with all under13s to open age groups between 4.00 – 6.00. N.b regular classes will run as normal on this Saturday.

NOV 4 - 9: SHOW WEEK.
Regular classes won’t be running at DW

NOV 5:
Rehearsal on Cup Day Nov 5 for Under 13 Intensive Group and Open Age Students.

NOV 11:
Regular classes resume for all age groups.

Nov 30:
Final day of training for all students under 5 – under 15. Open age students continue training until December.

DEC 11:
Final day for open age students subject to change.

ATTENDANCE:
Both students and parents are required to ensure that their child attends all classes and mandatory theatre rehearsals.

TUITION FEES:
Fees quoted below include group training, additional rehearsals and theatre rehearsal levies.

COSTUME LEVY:
Compulsory additional cost for each routine this term.

CONCERT VIDEO:
$25 Compulsory additional cost for each family per show.

JUNIOR INTENSIVE PROGRAM (10-14 yrs old)

Admission to this program is granted through an audition process. Applicants must have at least 2 years of prior dance training. This program runs 2 x per week and is designed for dedicated students who aspire to cultivate higher levels of technical and performance skills during their formative years. N.b The fee listed below is a discounted pack:

Pre-paid Service*

This is a pre-paid service. Payment and completed enrolment form are required prior to attending classes.

Non-Attendance Policy*

Non-Attendance Policy: Refunds or credits do not apply for non-attendance or change of mind. Exceptions may apply to circumstances where the Student becomes totally incapacitated for more than (four) 4 consecutive weeks due to serious illness or injury. The Student must supply a medical certificate confirming details of incapacitation.

Swapping classes randomly*

Swapping classes randomly due to non-attendance for whatever reason is not permitted, especially after the first week of term as rehearsals will be in progress for the show.

DW offers trials*

DW offers trials at $15 per style. One (1) trial only per style available until first week of term 4 only. Should the Student decide to proceed, a pro-rata fee for the remaining classes shall be calculated and payable prior to continuing.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

1. FEES

1.1 Pricing Structure:

Prices are quoted on a term basis unless stated otherwise.

1.2 Sundry Fees:

All sundry fees, including costume levy, extra rehearsals for competitions or concerts, exams, and digital videos, are payable during term 4.

1.3 Late Payment Policy:

Failure to submit fees by the due date may impact the student's eligibility to continue attending classes. If payment is made subsequently, credits for any missed classes will not be issued.

1.4 Collection Expenses:

In the event that APO/DW incurs any expenses related to fee collection, it reserves the right to charge you for these expenses, which may include debt collection, agency fees, legal costs, and associated disbursements.

1.5 Privacy Disclosure:

You acknowledge and agree that APO/DW subject to any relevant privacy legislation, may disclose personal information to obtain credit reports either to assess credit rating or to collect fees and for this purpose obtain personal information from an entity that provides commercial credit worthiness information and disclose personal information to credit reporting or collecting agencies before, during or after entry of this agreement.

1.6 Class Cancellation:

APO/DW retains the right to cancel a class if there are fewer than 10 students enrolled for a term. In such instances, refunds for class fees will be applicable from the date of cancellation.

2. WITHDRAWALS

2.1 Enrolment and Withdrawal:

Students are enrolled on a term basis. If a student wishes to withdraw, written notice is required.

2.2 Withdrawal Fee:

The withdrawal fee applied is calculated as the tuition fees payable for the full term less any tuition charges accrued for the term. The Withdrawal Fee shall not exceed 10 weeks and represents the opportunity cost of declining another student’s application in favour of the withdrawing student at the time of enrolment. To avoid confusion, parents / students are asked to offer notice of withdrawal in writing as a student’s mere discontinuation of classes will not be deemed a ‘Withdrawal’.

2.3 Medical Withdrawals:

In cases where a student withdraws due to medical reasons, rendering the student totally incapacitated for 30 consecutive days or more, a pro-rata fee will apply for fees accrued during the term. A valid medical certificate is required for this scenario and must be submitted within 30 days of the withdrawal. Certificates received after this 30-day period will not be considered valid.

3. REFUNDS & CREDITS
3.1 Refund and Credit Policy:
All group class fees, including tuition and sundry charges, are generally non-refundable, non-transferable, and ineligible for credit, except as outlined below:

a) Withdrawal before the course commences: Full refund will be granted.

b) APO/DW cancels a class due to insufficient enrolment: Refund will be issued, less any charges for accrued classes.

c) In the event that a student is incapacitated for four (4) consecutive weeks due to a severe illness or injury, a credit will be issued for any unused portion of prepaid fees. To claim this credit, the student must provide a medical certificate confirming their total incapacitation.

3.3 Non-Attendance Policy:
Refunds or credits will not be granted for non-attendance or changes of mind.

3.4 COVID-19 Lockdown Restrictions:
If government-imposed restrictions necessitate a temporary halt to face-to-face training, DW may offer online training via Zoom (excluding classes for children under 5 years old, tap dance, and acrobatics). In such cases, where online classes are provided as an alternative during lockdown, no refunds or credits will be issued.

3.5 Quarantine-Related Credit:
If a student is legally required to quarantine, resulting in missed classes, the student will be eligible for a credit under this circumstance.

3.6 Credit Redemption:
Credits must be redeemed within 6 months from the date of issue.

4. RULES

4.1 Attendance and Punctuality:
Students are required to attend all enrolled classes, scheduled rehearsals, and performances, and must be punctual at all times. Persistent failure to comply with these requirements may result in restrictions on class participation or exclusion from the Junior/Senior Concert.

4.2 Grooming and Uniform:
Students must adhere to grooming requirements, including wearing the correct uniform, appropriate footwear, and hairstyle for each class (please refer to the uniform requirement list). Baggy clothing, jewellery (including watches), and unauthorised accessories are not allowed in class. Female students are expected to neatly tie back their hair, and in classical ballet classes, hair must be in a neat bun. Repeated non-compliance with these requirements may result in the student's inability to participate in class.

4.3 Placement and Competency:
APO/DW reserves the sole discretion to assess the competency level of each student and determine their appropriate class, performances, and competitions. Students are expected to attend classes in their designated age group unless APO/DW decides that they should move to a younger or older age group.

4.4 Class Duration:
Classes advertised as one hour will run for 55 minutes to allow students time to change shoes, have water, and a snack before the start of their next class. Classes advertised as 45 minutes will run for the full 45 minutes.

4.5 Classroom Access:
Parents are generally not permitted in the classroom except on Open Days. Classes can be observed through glass windows. In case of COVID-19 density rules limiting indoor numbers, family or friends may not be allowed in the building.

4.6 Premises Maintenance:
All patrons and guests are responsible for maintaining the APO/DW premises in a neat and orderly manner.

4.7 Personal Belongings:
All patrons are responsible for their own goods and property. APO/DW will not be liable for any loss or damage to anyone's property, including uniforms or belongings left in the studio. It is recommended to label all personal items.

4.8 Respectful Behavior:
Students who display disruptive or disrespectful behaviour towards their teachers, fellow students, or APO/DW staff may be asked not to participate in class.

4.9 Indemnification:
Patrons and their guests shall indemnify APO/DW for any loss or damage to APO/DW’s property caused directly or indirectly by the patron and/or their guests.

4.10 Liability and Injury:
APO/DW shall not be liable for any injuries sustained by a student or patron while participating in a class or visiting the APO/DW premises. Accordingly, students and parents agree to hold APO/DW harmless against all actions, proceedings, damages, costs, expenses, claims, and demands resulting from any loss or injury. During class, students will be supervised by a qualified instructor.

4.11 Collection of Students:
Parents are advised to pick up students immediately after the class ends and instruct their children under the age of 15 not to leave the premises without a parent or guardian.

4.12 Photography and Filming:
Parents, students, or guests are not permitted to film or photograph students during classes, rehearsals, or performances unless express written permission is obtained or during open days at APO/DW, where filming is allowed during specific class segments.

5. PHOTOGRAPHIC RELEASE

5.1 The parent, legal guardian and/or student consent to APO/DW broadcasting and recording (by photographs, films, tape or otherwise) the student’s participation in all APO/DW activities for exploitation throughout the world, with no limitations on time. All rights in the broadcasting and recording materials, including copyright therein and the ownership of the physical materials (negative, tapes, film), shall be APO/DW’s exclusive property. APO/DW shall have the right to make and publish copies of the said broadcasting and recording including the right to use the student's name in relation to APO/DW related activities only.

6.COMPETITIONS

APO/DW owns and controls all copyright to routines and choreography produced by APO/DW (‘works’). These works may not be reproduced or performed outside of DW activities without the prior written consent of APO/DW.

7. TEACHERS

DW strives to maintain consistency with its teachers, especially for the junior school. However, DW reserves the right to arrange substitute teachers to conduct classes without prior notice for whatever reason.

8. COVIDSafe POLICIES
Students must adhere to DW's COVIDsafe policies:

8.2 Wear masks as required by law
8.3 Students or guests should refrain from entering the premises if they are unwell with cold or flu-like symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19.

9. SOLO VOCAL LESSONS - TERMS & CONDITIONS

9.a It is understood that classes are delivered by DW, rather than any specific member of the teaching staff. Typically, students will have the same vocal teacher to maintain consistency; however, from time to time, substitute teachers may conduct the classes without prior notice. All DW vocal coaches hold valid Working with Children Checks (WWCC) for added peace of mind.

9.b CANCELLATION POLICY:

DW requires students to give at least 24 hours' notice of cancellation via email (info@danceworldstudios.com). A confirmation email from DW must be received.

If a student is unwell with cold or flu-like symptoms, or tests positive for COVID-19, they should not attend classes. Notify DW via email by 8:30 am to allow enough time for DW to inform the teacher and prevent the Student from forfeiting prepaid fees.

No refunds will be issued for no-shows without prior notice or late cancellations.

If DW cancels a solo class due to a teacher's illness or injury without a substitute available, the student will not forfeit the class. The session will be rescheduled at a later time.

If a student is unwell or injured for 30 consecutive days, they may be eligible for a credit equivalent to the missed classes. Supporting documents, such as a medical certificate, will be required to prove incapacitation.
