DANCE WORLD STUDIOS (DW)
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

1. FEES

1. All tuition fees are payable prior to commencing training. Term durations may vary, and this will be reflected in the fee.
2. Minimum of 10 students required for classes to proceed. DW reserves the right to cancel a class if there are less than 10 students enrolled per term and in this instance, refunds shall apply for class fees from the date of cancellation.

2. WITHDRAWALS

1. Students are enrolled on a term basis, however, if a student wishes to withdraw, notice is required in writing.

3. REFUNDS & CREDITS

3.1 Non-Attendance / Change of Mind

Refunds or credits are not available for missed classes or change of mind.

3.2 All group class fees are generally non-refundable, non-transferable, and not eligible for credit, except in the following circumstances:

• Withdrawal Before Term Commencement: A full refund will be provided if you withdraw before the start of term.
• Class Cancellation by DW: If a class is cancelled by DW due to insufficient enrolments, a refund will be issued for any remaining classes.
• Medical Incapacity: If a Student is unable to attend classes for four (4) consecutive weeks due to serious illness or injury, a credit will be issued for the unused portion of prepaid fees. A medical certificate confirming the Student is unfit to attend is required.

3.3 Swapping Classes

Swapping classes randomly due to non-attendance, for whatever reason, is not permitted. However, the Student may request a permanent swap, once only, to another style within their age group in the same term, subject to availability.

3.4 Credit Validity

Any credit issued must be used within six (6) months from the date of issue and can be applied to Galilee programs or other Dance World Studios programs open to the general public.

4. VOCAL LESSONS

The following conditions apply only to vocal lessons.

4.1 ILLNESS/INJURY

If a student is unwell, please contact DW by email to cancel the class before 8:30 am. Otherwise, the student will forfeit the class.

4.2 CONFLICTING SCHEDULES

The onus is on parents/guardians to notify DW of any excursions, exams, or other compulsory activities with Galilee that may conflict with the private lesson. Please note, DW is not privy to Galilee’s full schedule. Provided we receive notice by 8:30 am via email, we can reschedule the class at a mutually convenient time. Failure to provide notice will result in the class being forfeited.

4.3

If a class needs to be rescheduled during school hours to a different time or day, Galilee may require a new 'Permission to Leave the Galilee Premises' form.

5. GENERAL RULES

1. Enrolment is with Dance World Studios, not an individual teacher. As such, classes may occasionally be conducted by a substitute teacher without prior notice.
2. Students must wear comfortable clothing for class.
3. Class times advertised include travel time to and from Galilee.
4. Students or families must notify DW of any injuries sustained prior to the commencement of each class.
5. Families or friends are not permitted in the classroom.
6. All patrons and guests are required to keep the DW premises neat and orderly.
7. All patrons are responsible for their own goods and property. DW will not be liable for any loss or damage to any person’s property. Uniforms or any belongings left in the studio are not the responsibility of DW. Please label everything.
8. Students who are disruptive or disrespectful towards their teachers, other students, or DW staff may be asked not to participate in class.
9. All patrons and their guests shall indemnify DW for any loss or damage to DW’s property caused directly or indirectly by the patron and/or their guest.
10. DW shall not be liable for any injury sustained by a student or patron whilst participating in a class and/or attending the premises of DW.
11. From time to time, photos or videos may be taken during class in group settings. By enrolling, you give permission for DW to use these images for the purpose of promoting classes only.

6. HEALTH & SAFETY

Students must follow DW’s health and safety guidelines:

• If a student is unwell (including cold or flu-like symptoms), please do not attend class.
• If a student tests positive for COVID-19, they must not attend class until they are no longer infectious and are well enough to return.
• Please practise good hygiene, including regular hand sanitising or hand washing.
