
The Advanced Associate in Fine Arts (Dance Performance) course is designed to provide high level training over a range of Performing Arts disciplines, with particular emphasis on ‘dance’. This course is ideal for students with advanced levels achived in jazz dance &/or classical ballet. At the completion of the course graduates may seek to obtain employment with professional musical theatre productions or other commercial engagements. Graduates may also be asked to audition for agency representation with a view to being considered for future auditions, castings and employment opportunities.
The Performing Arts syllabus has several core subjects supplemented by a range of appropriate electives. Versatility, adaptability and solid technique are key requirements for a professional career. This course has its foundations in jazz dance and classical ballet, and is designed to elevate performers who have the potential to reach advanced standards of dance and performance; with the view of forging a career in the higher ranks of the industry.
